HIGH POINT — The board of directors of the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation has elected new officers and board members for 2025.
Satya Tiwari, president of Surya Inc., has been elected board president; Jeremy Hoff, CEO of Hooker Furnishings, first vice president; Gat Caperton, CEO of Caperton Furnitureworks, second vice president; and Greg Avitabile, executive vice president/COO of Andmore, secretary-treasurer.
Karen McNeill, CEO of the Foundation, will continue to serve on the executive committee as board chairman.
“Our permanent home for the Hall of Fame is not just a space; it is a testament to the vision and ingenuity that define our industry,” said Tiwari. “Here, we gather to learn from some of the most thoughtful and visionary leaders, exploring innovative executions and fostering connections that inspire progress.
“While we remain in the midst of economic challenges, the board is focused on a bright light ahead: a future filled with opportunities for growth and innovation. Now is the time to move forward with courage and determination, honoring the legacy of those who came before us while shaping the path for future leaders.”
New directors are Avitabile; Mark Feng, chairman of Markor International Home Furnishings; David Koehler, president of AICO; John Schulz, CEO of John V. Schultz Furniture/Levin Furniture; and Richard Weeks, vice president of global sales for the Home Furniture Group at Leggett & Platt.
Board members re-elected to another three-year term are Derick Close, CEO of Springs Creative; Tammy Covington, president and CEO of High Point Market Authority; Amir Loloi, founder and president of Loloi Rugs; Tiwari; and Laurie Tokarz, president of Restonic.
