HIGH POINT – High-end furniture, décor and antique supplier Asian Lift has opened a new 30,000-square-foot showroom in High Point.

The new space, located at 625 W. Ward Ave. and previously home to companies including Henredon and Tommy Hilfiger, is double in size from its previous location on Main St. It also houses the company’s 20,000-square-foot warehouse, offering buyers the ability to quick-ship. Officials said the opportunity to have the showroom and warehouse adjacent was attractive.

“We’ve always been committed to offering distinctive, original works from around the world and now we have the space to present them in a way that’s as special as the pieces themselves,” said Steven Sonneville, Asian Loft owner. “We can showcase the craftsmanship of our collections from India, Indonesia, Morocco, Japan and China on an unprecedented scale.”

Asian Loft is known for its unusual selenite pieces including this set of bowls.

Sonneville also highlighted the significant improvements made to the space. “The process of working through how our new space can accommodate an ever-changing array of products, both large and small, required a lot of adaptability in showroom design. We’ve revamped everything from how guests enter the showroom to how they interact with the vignettes.”

Founded in 2000 by Lieve Sonneville, who continues to lead the company alongside her son Steven, Asian Loft supplies one-off pieces and handcrafted finds from China, India, Indonesia, Morocco, Japan and China. It serves high-end retail furniture stores, boutique design establishments and interior designers.
