This week’s rug news updates a designer collection with Rugs USA, takes a look at soft traditional with Harounian Rugs International and offers designers a tote bag of rug must-haves from KAS Rugs.
Rugs USA’s designer collection – Emily Henderson x Rugs USA – has just expanded with brand new designs and updated colorways, now available online.
This second iteration of the Rugs USA collection delivers approachable, stylish, and versatile rugs for every space. Wool and wool blends with rich and earthly tones seamlessly blend functionality with style, according to Henderson, while hand-tufted, flatwoven, and hand-woven rugs boast durable construction. “Experience plush pile for a soft feel underfoot with the collection’s wool offerings,” Henderson said.
Henderson, who has been a designer, stylist and influencer for more than 15 years, said her first collection for Rugs USA last fall produced a versatile selection of rugs featuring 20 designs in different sizes.

Hand-woven, hand-tufted, machine-made, broadloom and outdoor rugs from dozens of manufacturers gave buyers at the recent High Point Market plenty of design and price point options.
Many companies have updated their approach to traditional looks with designs that have been softened in terms of color and pattern.
One of the key introductions from Harounian Rugs International (HRI) at market was the Fabrege rug made with traditional tones shown in softer colors.
“Interest in this new line has been very strong,” said Greg Jordt, Harounian Rugs International vice president of sales and marketing.
Hand-knotted of wool and made in India, the rug is offered in six different colorways including teal and rust.

KAS Rugs has put together a canvas tote for interior designers filled with in-stock, go-to looks for designers to consider when starting a new project.
It’s a small starter kit filled with rug samples (sizes up to 72 X 15), ring sets, blankets and other merchandise that Kas stands behind as reliable collections that have proven successful with buyers and designers.
“It’s something they can count on,” said Santhi Yarlagadda, vice president, of e-commerce, business development and marketing for KAS Rugs. “We stand behind this bucket of goods and will always have this.”
